YOUNG STORYTELLER PROJECT
PHOTOGRAPHY AND FILMmakING TRAINING AND INTERNSHIPS
Community Migrant Resource Centre is providing young people aged 15-25 years old from refugee backgrounds an opportunity to take part in photography and filmmaking training and internships.
What will participants receive?
Young people will receive training from industry professionals and be provided opportunities to intern and practice what they’ve learnt by producing media content for CMRC events and projects, potential partners and work alongside and learn from industry professional content creators.
The internships will run until 30th June, 2020.
This project is ideal for those interested in a career in media content production, or looking to build and develop their employability skills.
When is the training and what does it involve?
Training will initially commence in December in the Parramatta LGA, with participants will receive training periodically throughout their 6 month internship.
Participants will learn the rules of photography and filming, the different genres of photography and film, how to structure a story, pre production and post production processes.
To eligible, applicants must be:
1. 15-25 years old
2. From refugee backgrounds and have been in Australia for 5 years or less
3. Reside in Western Sydney
