OUR ORGANISATION
Established in 1995, the Community Migrant Resource Centre (CMRC) was formed to provide high quality services, settlement information, support and advocacy to humanitarian entrants and newly arrived migrants in order to facilitate successful integration into the broader fabric of Australian society. We aim to equip and empower these communities, by providing innovative solutions to challenges they may face including social cohesion, economic participation, education and career pathways, financial pressures and accommodation.
YOUR ROLE
Due to expansion of services we have 3 new positions servicing different areas in Sydney. You will thrive in this exciting, fast paced role as the Social Inclusion and Partnerships Officer if you love using your strong partnerships/networking skills to make a difference with positive social outcomes for refugees and migrants. You will enjoy a diverse role where no two days are the same and you can put your strong networking skills and problem-solving capabilities to good use. Ideally you will have experience working with culturally diverse communities in a similar role, however demonstrated transferable skills and experience will also be considered.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
Driving strategies for increasing engagement with community, industry and corporate stakeholders, partners, philanthropists, schools and universities
Developing key referral pathways within the settlement sector and partners in order to generate clients
Designing and leading CMRC-led events in the region, to raise the organisation brand
Working collaboratively with other members of your team in service delivery with clients, designing content of information sessions and building a culture of information sharing and institutional knowledge
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED INCLUDE
Strong stakeholder management/account management experience ideally working with people from refugee & CALD backgrounds (preferably in the areas of social cohesion, education and employment)
Experience in developing strong and collaborative working relationships with community, corporate, government, education and philanthropists
Innovative & creative approach with a strong client-outcome focus
Demonstrated understanding of trauma-informed practice
Pro-active and solution focused approach
Strong computer proficiency with the Microsoft applications including Email, Word etc.
Own car and valid drivers licence required
Valid Police Check and Working with Children Check to be provided
